We are living in an era where
the word yoga is misunderstood, bringing about confusion, but
things should not be this way. We get the impression that yoga is something
extraordinary which is not easy and does not concern common man. This
is a false idea. Yoga is actually very simple and it touches our daily
life, it is in fact the very heart of our existence stemming from life's
roots.
Due
to numerous theories, multiple misunderstandings and erroneous actions, yoga finds itself
neglected, even rejected by a large number of people. Yoga is tied with our creation, the
creation of mankind. It consists in remaining attached to our origin, in finding the
original source of creation and remaining one with that source.
Yoga is a very profound science above all
religions and dogmas. In the same way that children play at being mothers or fathers
without having any idea about what being a mother or a father truly represents, the game
of religion is placed like a youth in front of adulthood before really knowing what
spirituality is, to which yoga gives us direct access. Yoga is based on prana shakti
(life force together with oxygen) with subtle breath. This is authentic spirituality.
The original creation is called Veda,
which means to know, to perceive, to realize. The Veda can be compared with a
bird where Jyotir Veda (astral creation) and Ayur Veda (medical aspect,
the means for maintaining life) each constitute one wing of the bird.
In the beginning of creation five elements
appeared in the astral sphere - astral here means astrological - and from this astral
plane all living creatures appeared as well as the material world. Original life force
progressively became complete in its manifestation, coming to mankind which includes the
perfection of all beings. Numerous other worlds as well as beings exist even if we do not
know them. But the human body is perfect enough allowing us to explore the totality of
creation, as well as the numerous planets and stars. Yoga allows for complete evolution in
the human being. Yoga is based upon breath. |
